04|02|2012 SHARKBOY'S CAR DANCHI! Car Danchi means Car Apartment! I am on my selections from Japan. And here you see Hayato "Sharkboy" Doi's Car. Drove with him the other day and he explained me his whole car. He even got a TV inside. But there was anyway no time to watch TV. t
03|02|2012 CLAST LOOKBOOK 2012/2013 Good thing about traveling and coming home again is a full mailbox! This time i've found the newest Lookbook in there which i have shot for Clast this last december. I am quite happy about the printed version! And Vans just sent me a brand new snowboard-boot! How cool! Keep an eye out for their products! t
01|02|2012 SAPPORO - TOKYO - ZURICH After spending 3 weeks in beautiful Japan, i flew home yesterday from Sapporo to Tokyo and then straight 12h to Zurich. Window-seat, what else. As you can see on the little collection i've put together ;) It feels good to be back home. But Japan will be always in my heart and i am pretty sure that i will go back there real soon. The 3 weeks went quite fast. First of all because you feel at home straightaway after your arrival in this amazing country! The people, the food.. so great. And then also because i got to travel with really nice fellows plus got tons of inspiration which lead to a few projects i've started and / or finished or will continue. Once more, what a trip! Thank you Japan! Arigato gozaimasu! t
30|01|2012 TAKAMASA IMAI So today is my last night in Japan before heading back to euroland tomorrow morning early-bird-style! I shot 2 more portraits today, one is Takamasa, a longtime Car-Danchi-Member and really nice guy as well. And another one of Deshi, he was featured in the movie "In short". Here's one of the leftovers from today from Takamasa. Arigato gozaimasu, it was a big honor for me to work with you! See you next year! t
29|01|2012 POWDER SNOW SURFERS! This is a sticker Mr. Hideki Takeda has on his Car Danchi. It's about a crew from Niseko that is in constant search of powder. I assume they like coffee too.. I am in Sapporo now, where i stay 2 days with my swiss-fellows Yves, Dominik and Julian. but already missing the mountains so badly. But i am sure i'll be back soon in this wonderful country, with its great people and the deep Hokkaido-Pow... Domo arigato! t
28|01|2012 NISEKO NIGHTSHRED II So last night i spent again on the parkinglots to see whats behind those huge snowpiles! And i've found beautiful things.. Cause you liked the last nightshred-photo i've thought i could post another one, since it's my last day here in Niseko before leaving to Sapporo. In other news: End of December i've shot the lookbook for Clast, as mentioned in an earlier post. Anyway, Clast just spread a blog with some making-ofs from that day.. good times! Ittekimasu! t
27|01|2012 MR. HIDEKI TAKEDA Today i got the honor to portray Mr. Hideki Takeda. He's the owner of T-Tune in Niseko and he's taking care of all the Gentem-sticks that are slashing the famous Hokkaido-pow! He's also part of the Car Danchi-Movement. I learned a lot today. As i remember right, he started snowboarding when i was 4 years old.. 1982! wow. That's a photo of my outdoor-studio i am running here in Niseko. One of my 4 assistants shot it. I could have needed even 1 or 2 more, since the setup was quite heavy and difficult to build.. haha I am leaving tomorrow to Sapporo. Wonder how that turns out.. t
27|01|2012 CAR DANCHI RECAP Here's a picture i shot on our Car Danchi-Adventure. There is Alvaro walking towards our Car to discuss something. He probably just wanted to steal some of my cookies as he did sometimes.. haha It has, no doubt, been the best snowboard-trip so far i've done in the last few years. Great people, good snowboarding, fun times, delicious food, thousand jokes, a million laughs, daily onsen, cold nights, lots of hiking, good training for my knee, no shredding for myself unfortunately but tons of great pictures and a one of a kind adventure for sure for everybody. Thanks boys!! Japan, i love you! t
26|01|2012 NEW WORK Here's a little teaser, a zoomed-in screenprint of what i was shooting the last 4 days. It looks good so far and i am very happy about the outcome. I am gonna tell you guys soon more about this, hopefully. Staying 2 more days in Niseko and then off to Sapporo, as it looks like rightnow. In other news, Truecolor-Films just released their 2nd Blog from Japan. Have a look! t
25|01|2012 NISEKO NIGHTSHRED! Niseko offers everyday nightshred until 9pm. I was lurking around on the parkinglots anyways, so that's why i shot this photo. Things are rolling here, get to work lots on my personal projects and eating delicious food.. good times! Today i visited the gentem-boys! I'd so love to take 1 of their boards home.. t P.s.: This is most probably the only time you see a ski-photo on my website.
24|01|2012 JAPAN AIN'T OVER YET So the boys left back to Europe! What a trip it was. It felt like 2 months of traveling but it was only 2 weeks.. good sign! I am staying 6 more days and i'll be pretty busy with lurking around on the big parkinglots here in Niseko. Cause i just started a new series here. And no, it's not about big snowpiles.. ;) Stay tuned! O-yasuminasai! t
22|01|2012 ON THE WAY TO NISEKO We just drove 5h to Niseko for our last stop on our trip here in Japan. Snow looked not too good when we arrived but since last night it dumped a bit. Tonight we're going to explore the nightshred here. Sooo looking forward to this. We got 2 more days before the boys are leaving back to Europe. I will stay another 6 days on my own while working on 2 personal free projects here. Wish me luck! t
20|01|2012 INTO THE WILD Alvaro is spotting into his landing seconds before he sent himself through the branches into the woods of Asahidake. Hai! Good day it was! t
19|01|2012 FOUND A NEW ZONE Today we hiked for soooo long! But we found a really nice zone. On the photo you see Alvaro, checking out one of the features. We had mostly bluebird today and the snow is still great. Unfortunately i still can't ride but i am happy for the boys and as long as i get the shots i am more then happy too. t
18|01|2012 JUST A LITTLE TEASER... I am trying to get a little overview of what we've done already. But i gotta keep this still secret, sorry about that! In other news: TruecolorFilms, the Crew i am traveling rightnow, just released a first blog with a few impressions from our trip. You can look at it riiiiiiiight heeere!! We're still out pretty much all day, hiking the zones and getting the goods. Today was a very productive day for me and my knee liked it also. Japan, i freakin' love you! t
17|01|2012 ONSEN-TIME_the 2nd Here's another shot of one of our daily onsen-visits! In the back there is a mosaic-picture of the big waterfall in Tenninkyo. Unfortunately i couldn't move more back nor zooming out with my camera to get everything in the frame.. sorry Nicholas! t
17|01|2012 JAPAN IS ... ... where the pillows find you and not you have to find them! This is the view out of my room in our lodge here. I mean, seriously, it CAN NOT get any better! The boys are out in the woods. I am taking a day off since my knee told me to go to the onsen instead of walking through deep snow looking for a zone. Well, i couldn't say no since my knee is in charge here! Ja mata! t
16|01|2012 ONSEN-TIME!!! So as i wrote earlier, we've been to the Onsen every single day! Here's a random picture of one of those moments... Nothing special to add here. Right Nicholas? t P.s.: The Onsen-photo was taken earlier than the tearsheet of his spray in snowstyle...
15|01|2012 CAR DANCHI FOR LIFE! So the Car Danchi - part is over for now. What a blast it was! For sure i am gonna turn my car at home into a real danchi as well as soon as i am back in switzerland! I am working on two personal projects during my time here in Japan. One of them is about portraits. Stay tuned! We're staying now in a small resort with only 1 lift. On the way there i've seen one of my photos of Nicholas in a japanese Magazine called Snowstyle.. yoku dekimashita! I'll be posting a lot the next few days. Ohayo gozaimasu! t
14|01|2012 BLOTTO CLAIMED IT! Damn Blotto, you claimed our ride already! haha We're good, very good. Living it up big times, Car Danchi ichiban! Usually getting up early around 7, preparing ourselfs, cooking noodles, brushing our tooth. Then leaving the Danchi around 9, hiking and shredding and shooting the zone. Around 4 returning to the Danchi and then straight to the Onsen next to the parking lot. Relaxing in the hot tubs until maybe 7, then straight cooking dinner followed by a few beers and then straight to bed in the back of the Danchi. We're sleeping 5 guys in that thing. Good times for sure! And not the way you think.. haha Snowconditions are epic. Seriously. Never saw that amount of snow.. t
11|01|2012 GETTING THERE!!! So after quite a long travel we finally arrived somewhere in the hokkaido-area. Conditions look great and it's freezing cold.. But we already ate delicious ramen so our guide Shinya is taking good care of us as you can imagine. Tomorrow we're leaving the village and starting with our car danchi-adventure.. can't wait! O-yasuminasai! t
10|01|2012 GOING TO JAPAN!!! So today i booked my flight to Sapporo for tomorrow morning.. woohoo! I think i've never been that spontaneous regarding my travels. Here's what's up: We're joining the Car Danchis and living it up big times. Never heard of Car Danchi? Check'em out here or here! They basically live to snowboard. It's a tight crew of friends that live the entire winter in their cars. Driving from pass to pass and hiking the good spots in the whole hokkaido-area. The photo shows our home for the next few days. I mean, can it get any better? It is a huge honor to be invited by those guys and i am so thankful for this opportunity! I was waiting 2 years for this moment.. honestly, i am soooo stoked right now! Can't sleep.. i am too excited!! t
08|01|2012 FOUND A THING I love todays technologies! Can't wait to go and check out that wierd-thingy in the middle of the woods... thanks to google-earth! In other news: Looks like i am going on quite a cool trip real soon.. More about this tomorrow, when i got my e-ticket.. haha good night, t

I gotta live with them for the next 10 days, then i am free as a bird, again! Can't wait. Here's a picture of a series i did for Steffi Biggel. She's a young fashion-designer from Zurich, Switzerland and i shot her look book last year. Good night, t
10|12|2011 LUNAR-PHOTOGRAPHY I Forget about the Alpenhorn, i am totally into Lunar-photography right now!!! But if you look close, it might be the inside of a knee too.. my knee! To be specific. Doc Wartmann did a great job! And i am pretty stoked that i got the chance to photograph my operation. I wished i could actually move around and get better angles of the real deal.. haha Maybe next time! Kidding. t
07|12|2012 ALPENHORN I've just started to blow the alpenhorn! Bought one on ebay... Kidding. But those guys were quit into it. Shot it last week in St. Moritz. There might not be a lot of updates in the next couple days. No, i am not taking part in a alpenhorn-bootcamp.. but i am gonna get surgery on my left knee and probably will not be back behind the desk too soon. Stay tuned, t
06|12|2011 SNOW! It's gonna be on real soon... can't wait! YES! t
04|12|2011 BELOVED JULIER PASS The Julier Pass between Chur and St. Moritz is my most favourite pass in Switzerland! Every time i go there it looks different then the last time but it stays beautiful as always! I love it. Working in St. Moritz was great. The Hotel was super nice but i think i'd never get used to a standard like this where people carrying your bags, driving your car in the garage, opening the door for you and last but not least smiling at you and being overall gentle all day long 24/7/365! All in all it was a great great experience spending a few days there and document the UBS-Global-Philanthropy-Forum 2011. t
01|12|2011 ST. MORITZ! I am in St. Moritz a few days for a job for UBS. It has been quite fun so far. I mean, staying at the Kulm Hotel: who would ever complain!!! Great mood, great people, great food.. everything great. Even that table on the photo to your left. I like it a lot! t

24|11|2011 NEW LANDSCAPES I just got a request for landscape-pictures. So i went through a lot of folders on my harddrives and, lucky me, found some beauties i forgot or never thought about it. As said earlier, sometimes it takes time to find the beauty in your photos. Like a good wine.. So please have a look in book IV. I am actually 12+ hours in the studio these days, planning and organizing upcoming projects and jobs! Like that. t P.s.: The photo shows the scenery in Sagliains, Switzerland.
16|11|2011 IN THE STUDIO.. I am spending all week in the studio doing things! Not much more to add here. t
14|11|2011 SOON.. ..it will be winter and this man on the photo worked hard for letting it be one of the finest seasons ever for me! t
14|11|2011 ZH - LAUSANNE - ZH I love my job! Especially when i get to travel by train. Sitting in a train is like going to a movie: You have to buy a valid ticket and when the door opens, you can go in and sit down on the seat you've bought. Most probably you will not be the only person there but usually you're all good with that. Also: If you're hungry, you don't have to walk far to feed your needs. And: Once it started, the adventure begins.. Sitting in a train is the best real-life-documentary! Thanks, to the people! t P.s.: They guy on the photo is DJ Bazooka. He recently won the Red Bull Thre3style-Swiss-Final in Lausanne! Congrats.
13|11|2011 DJ MONTES Yesterday and today i have spent in Lausanne. The most beautiful city here in switzerland. In my opinion. Besides Zurich of course.. Last night i've shot this portrait of DJ Montes. Also known as one half of the famous Goldfinger Bros. They are in the game since ever and still bringing the goods night after night!!! t
10|11|2011 SEASON IS ON Did my first ollie this season. So happy! I've been to Austria for an assistance for Gian-Paul Lozza. Christl did Hair&Makeup. t P.s.: That ollie felt so good...
04|11|2011 NEWEST FRIDAY I am jumping in the weekend with a photo of mine in the newest Friday-Magazine. Dropping out this afternoon all over Switzerland: Hans-Jakob Mühlethaler and his brother Karl-Ludwig. I shot this last week in Zurich on a beautiful thursday afternoon. Hänsu and Lodi, as they introduce them self, have been super easy to work with. More of Hänsu you can see here! Last night has been the premiere of "Off Beat", Jan Gassmann's newest movie. Hänsu is playing "Luki", one of the leading parts. The movie is great. Really great! Good actors, great filming, harmonious pictures, a lot of melancholy right there and an even better soundtrack! I like. t
03|11|2011 UPDATE BOOK III & IV Hope you like'em. The thing showed to the left i've found in Albisrieden, Zurich. For those of you that came to Winterthur last week already know it. Anyway. I even sold a few photos to some very nice people, which is awesome of course! Thanks to all my friends, the visitors, my girlfriend, the organizers, the bands, the deejays, the bar-staff, the sponsors and all the great artists that were there! Wow. t
29|10|2011 HANS-JAKOB MÜHLETHALER I've just shot a portrait of Hans-Jakob Mühlethaler aka Hänsu aka Chocolochocolo, Rapper and Actor. You can see him recently as Lukas in Jan Gassmann's new movie "Off beat", having its premiere next thursday at RiffRaff Zürich! t

27|10|2011 MOODBOARD Here is the moodboard i made for the Jungkunst. I'd say it came quite close to the real thing, right? t
26|10|2011 JUNGKUNST, IT'S ON! Last night has been the pre-opening of the Jungkunst-Exhibition in Winterthur. Wow, i am sooo happy how everything looks like. So much talent right there. From photography to painting to sculpture to illustration to video.. t

21|10|2011 FLYING BACH IN ZURICH! Last night i've documented for Red Bull the 1st Flying Bach-show at Schiffbau. Flying Bach is about breakdance and the music of J. S. Bach. Read and watch more about it here. It was a night full of good vibes, energy and power. The crowd was definitely going off! Now i am asking myself: Why did i stop breakdancing back in the days? t
18|10|2011 INTERVIEW @ JOIZ Yesterday i've been invited to Knackeboul's Show at Joiz-TV. We talked a bit about the Red Bull Illume-Exhibition in Bern plus about me and my work. I've been quite nervous since it was my first time in front of the cam on a live-set but at the end it felt so natural and the time went way to fast. Thanks Knacke and Sara for letting me stay in your show! t
17|10|2011 BACK IN ZH So we're back in Switzerland. Just spent the weekend in Bern for the Illume- and the Shots-Exhibitions. They both went well with a lot of visitors and a happy party-crowd in the evening! On sunday we were doing 2 guided tours through the museum. Which i liked the most! Next show coming up is in Winterthur.. i'll keep you posted. t
11|10|2011 ASSIGNMENT IN NEW YORK I recently got the chance to shoot a little assignment here in NYC. More of this later. 2 more days filled with visiting galleries, get inspired and meeting people. Next one coming up is the Red Bull ILLUME and the Shots.tv-Exhibitions in Bern, Switzerland. Can't wait for the unveiling of the photos... You should all come by and have a look yourself! t

After seeing a few books about it i was super curious to go there.. well, we're not on the typical tourist-trip while in NYC.. but we just HAD to go to Coney Island! At least for Nathan's famous Hot-Dogs.. haha There was this strangeness all over and the Mist made it just perfect. The Hot-Dog with bacon and cheese was delicious tough! t
27|09|2011 FLYING WITH THE BEST What more can i say? Anytime again! t
26|09|2011 GUY IN A SUIT Last friday i've shot with this guy in his workspace. Can't tell too much yet. More of this in one of the upcoming posts.. I am sorry ;) t
25|09|2011 NYC HERE WE COME! Just spent 8h in the plane Zurich - JFK. The flight went so fast and the food was great, seriously. 11|09|2011 2 MANY PHOTOS, NOT ENOUGH SLEEP This past weekend i've shot a lot of photos but didn't get enough sleep at all. 10 hours of working in Lausanne, then 3 hours sleep followed by another 3 hours in the train which lead into 14 h of shooting which i rewarded with 5 h of sleep in the back of my car... In Lausanne i've found this "face".. All in all super fun times! Gotta go to bed now.. t
08|09|2011 JUNGKUNST WINTERTHUR Today i've spent a lot of time doing the selection for the upcoming show in Winterthur. It's quite a process.. as always. This time it's different. More intense and personal.. but i am slowly getting somewhere.. I don't really know yet how my wall is going to look like by the end of October. So you'd better come and see yourself! One thing that's for sure: I am going to print at Tricolor. Those guys are killing it big time! t
06|09|2011 FLUGTAG LUZERN Last saturday i've been to Lucerne on an assignment for Red Bull. Here's a funny snapshot from that day. First i thought one them must be Travis Parker.. but it wasn't him! Ahh.. i missed taking a shot of myself. Cause most of the time i was standing up to my chest in the water and shooting the action. Whenever i felt sweaty i just made a quick dive... awesome No comparison with being a snowboardphotographer.. out in the cold all day, freezing... Kidding ;) t

23|08|2011 MUOTTAS MURAGL As i wrote yesterday, we've been on Muottas Muragl in the beautiful Engadin-Valley. On top on 2456m above sealevel they installed a piece of art from this guy! 16|08|2011 GRIMSEL II On my way to Zermatt i stopped by the Grimselpass. In the middle of the night i somehow woke up and saw this in front of me.. it wasn't hard to get in my shoes and jacket again and grab my camera and my tripod.. This post is called Grimsel II, cause i already went there once but had to go home without any photo from that night. Because my object of desire was hiding all night behind the fog.. But i really really hope it will be soon a "Grimsel III" with a proper photo of the "thing"... Wish me luck. t
15|08|2011 CAMPING IN ZERMATT So as mentioned in the post before, i finally have been to Zermatt to work with the beauty of the alps, the Matterhorn. She was very, very calm, gentle and patient with me. A true professional! I mean, she's into this since a few years now.. I took my hiking-equipment including sleeping-bag and some food and drove up to Zermatt. After a hike down on the Gornergrat-side i've found THE perfect place to shoot, hangout and sleep. I read a bit until the sun went down, then i cooked delicious pasta and enjoyed the quietness out there. The two of them (moon and matterhorn) got along so well together that night and made it an easy one for me. Around 2pm i fall asleep in my sleepingbag after seeing several shootingstars.. I love my job! t
14|08|2011 BEEN HERE DONE THAT I planned going to Zermatt since quite some time now. But it never was perfect regarding the moon and the weatherforecast. So this weekend i finaly packed my hikingshoes and my sleepingbag and drove up there on saturday afternoon. Here's a snapshot from my iphone. A more detailed entry is coming soon.. t
09|08|2011 BEEN HERE DONE THAT A cool thing about assisting is, that you sometimes get paid for driving around. On one of those jobs i got to see an area i hardly knew before and "taadaaa": There seems to be a couple "things" waiting for me.. Can't wait to go back there! t
07|08|2011 Yep, a ton of work behind me and busy times ahead! I've been assisting the whole week on a very interesting job all over switzerland. Pardon me for the lack of updates.. But good thing is: found a few "things".. just waiting for a clear night and next weeks fullmoon... t P.s.: Photo shows a random guy i've shot at the jazzcafe in montreux. Well, he might not be that random though... haha
28|07|2011 ILLUME - EXHIBITION BERN Good news right here! October is going to be my "official" exhibition-month. 3 different group-exhibitions in 2 different cities. Crazy! That's going to be intense for sure! But i am not complaining at all ;) From the 14. - 23. Red Bull is coming to Bern with their huge Illume-Show. It's going to be their only stop-over here in switzerland. So you better be there.. i will! Also super happy that they've selected one of my 2 final-photos on their visual! yes. t
27|07|2011 BEEN HERE AND DONE THAT Yesterday i've been a bit on the road again. I was thinking on a few locations since quite some time and yesterday was the night to do it! Next week will be all about assisting for a great guy. We'll be working for 6-7 days in a row. Yeah! Can't wait.. More to come soon. t
25|07|2011 THIS MAKES MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER.. Those guys that have invented "whatsapp" are my heros! Cause besides i am using it quite often i recently found out, that it can help during locationscouting. For example last saturday i've been on the train and suddenly saw this great "thing" i wanna photograph in the middle of nowhere, no way to find this again by car! So in no time i've saved my own location... I love it! Besides: This week is about assisting, working on the portfolio and own shootings and some things i gotta organize for a big shoot next week for one of my biggest inspirations at all. And if you're in the Salzburg-area, please check out this! Life's so good! Stay tuned, t
20|07|2011 HOOD II As promised, here's the actual photo from yesterday! I still have to laugh about that grumpy old man.. haha Tomorrow i am going to meet one of my biggest inspirations in person. Happy! t
20|07|2011 MY HOOD This one i took yesterday night right outside my flat. That's what my hood looks like. I love the light and the mood! Don't you wanna know whats behind that black entrance? There is actually a better one that i am going to show you real soon. There goes a little story with it: After 2min there came this old, grumpy and drunken man walking towards me. Yelling and shouting like there is no tomorrow. He told me very, very bad things about me but somehow i didn't pay any attention at all to him and after yelling and screaming for like 5min, he just left... I have to admit that i was standing next to my camera / tripod and wasn't even moving, talking nor anything else. However, i got what i came for. t
18|07|2011 HOTEL BELVEDERE This is the Hotel Belvedere on the Furka-Pass on an early night last week. Looks so scary with the closed windows and doors. Indeed i was the only person there. At least i think so.. haha t
15|07|2011 ZH-GRIMSEL-FURKA-GOTTHARD-ZH Been on the road quite a bit last night and this morning. I've spent all evening, night and morning on those 3 passes high up in the swiss alps. On 1st sight i thought i got unlucky with the weather since it was all foggy. But then i started to work with it and now i like it the way it was. That's a quick snapshot from San Gottardo-pass. More to come.. t
15|07|2011 MONTREUX This was the view i had from my balcony in Montreux last week. Thanks to the Girls and Boys at Red Bull for booking me such a perfect place to stay! t
13|07|2011 NIGHTSHIFT Monday night i've spent again outside shooting weird things! This time it was outside Zurich right next to the highway. Here's a quick teaser. Friday is gonna be full moon again and hopefully with a clear sky as well! Can't wait to get out there again.. t
11|07|2011 MARK ON THE RINGS Please have a look in book I. I've just added the photo of Mark in the portfolio. Many thanks again to Mark, then Linda for H&M, Lorenz for his assistance and last but not least: Light&Byte for supporting me with a ton of equipment, thank you Jens!! In other news, i got selected to exhibit my work during the Jungkunst Winterthur in late October! I can't tell how happy i am about those news, since i am showing for the very first time my landscapes in an exhibition which is seen by 4000+ people in only a few days. wow. t
08|07|2011 KATY B Last night i've worked for Red Bull on an assignment at the Jazz Cafe in Montreux. This is Katy B, singer / songwriter from London. It is not the actual photo. But i like it anyways. t
07|07|2011 LORD OF THE RINGS PART II I am super happy about the outcome from yesterday. So here's another snap from Mark Ramseier. About to wrap my bags for an assignment in Montreux this evening at the Jazz-Festival... yes t
06|07|2011 LORD OF THE RINGS Today i've had the pleasure to work again with Mark Ramseyer, professional gymnast. This time Mark showed me his skills on the still rings. Truly amazing! Here's a little teaser. We've shot it in an old gym outside Zurich. Thanks to Linda Sigg and Lorenz Richard who did a great job on the hair and assisting. And extraextra special thanks to L&B who supported me with light. t
01|07|2011 CLOUDS OVER BERLIN I love clouds. I don't like the sky without any clouds at all. So whenever i am flying i have my camera ready and i hardly fall asleep since i don't wanna miss the them.. These ones i've photographed on our way to Berlin last month. t
30|06|2011 DAVOS AGAIN I went again to Davos to shoot some more editorial-photos for Credit-Suisse's Bulletin. On the way home, it was sooo hot all day long, we went for a swim in the beautiful Walensee-lake.. I love my job! t
29|06|2011 THE ZOO IN THE STUDIO I've just done some stills for Clast in our studio. The new products look great! Flashy colors right there.. finger lickin' good! t
24|06|2011 SOME MORE INSPIRATION Not more to say. t
21|06|2011 ZURICH - GENEVA - ZURICH.. It has been a lot going on and recently i've spent some decent time on the road! I am very inspired by so many great photographers and artists. Also i am so glad about all the work i've found and seen that "lands in my monthly inspiration-folder on my desktop. Like the ones to the left! Apart from that, i am working on 2 quite interesting group-exhibitions that are coming up this late October. I am going to show 2 totally different projects in 2 also very different cities. So so looking forward to all of this.. yes Can't tell more, still kinda secret.. ;) t
18|06|2011 DBK, THE PERUVIAN FARMER This is David Bertschinger-Karg, short: DBK! He's a really good snowboarder and traveling the world and enjoying life to the fullest! I shot this photo a few years ago for an editorial for Pleasure-Magazin. David was born in Peru, but he's living in switzerland nowadays. We were on this farm where 20+ donkeys live. All white and nosy.. fun animals! After a while i had a hard time knowing who's the donkey and who's DBK.. haha Good times! t
16|06|2011 NICOLAS MÜLLER AT MT. TITLIS I recently shot Nicolas Müller at Mt. Titlis. We built a huge corner up there and rode and shot it for a few days. Gigi, Gian and Markus joined us as well. Nah, kidding. That session was held couple years ago when i was fully into shooting snowboarding. It was quite a good session i must say. And Nicolas Müller is for sure one of my favorite shredders out there! I've just stumbled over it again and still love the way Nico is tweaking his tail and twisting his board like there's no tomorrow.. yes t
11|06|2011 CREDIT-SUISSE BULLETIN For Credit-Suisse's own magazine called "bulletin" i've realised a shoot with a whole school-class from Davos. Here's a behind-the-scene-photo that Lorenz Richard took. He was my assistant that day. Thanks, Löru! More about this later. t
06|06|2011 EVA W. I made a little update in book II: And in book III couple new landscapes. There are a few things going on, that's why the lack of news. t
30|05|2011 CHRISTIAN S. This is Christian. He was wearing the diving-suit yesterday. After we finished i took a portrait of him right in front of our studio. Please have a look in book II to see more photos of him. In other news: I made it again in the finals of the Berg.Welten.Bild-Award in Austria. As some might know, last year i won 5k's and this year i got into the tight final of the last 5. Congrats to Hamish Fulton who took home the honor and the money this year! Unfortunately i couldn't join the show myself. t
29|05|2011 HISTORICAL DIVING I've just finished working in the studio. We shot today an original and historical diving-suit including everything they used back in the day and actually still use today. The whole suit including air-chambers, shoes, helmet with microphone etc. is about 60kg. Tough job for the model for sure! t
28|05|2011 IN THE STUDIO Back from Berlin and straight back to work: Just painted the studio for tomorrow. I am doing a personal project about historical diving. Can't wait... t
24|05|2011 BERLIN I am in Berlin for almost a week now. It's my first time here but so far i like it quite a bit. t
23|05|2011 PLUG OUT AFTER PRODUCTION True. That's a snap from last weeks studio-shoot. t
22|05|2011 EVA W. I just worked on an editorial-assignment for 2 days in the studio. During a quick break i shot this portrait of Eva. It was her 2nd shooting at all. t
20|05|2011 HUGE LIGHTSABERS! Another one i've taken last night. Darth Vader would be sooo jealous.. if he knew t
19|05|2011 A SIGN FROM OUTERSPACE? I've been out shooting yesterday night in a park close to my place. That thing looks a bit like a sign from outerspace, don't you think so? I wonder how many people will end up on my website now by searching for "outerspace" on google... haha So here are some more keywords to make it even easier for them: Alien UFO Area 51 ;) t
10|05|2011 ZH - NYON - GENEVA - ZH It has been quite hectic the last few days. Assisting and shooting a lot the last week. I was honored to assist the 2 of them! Super inspiring workhorses, good-hearted couple with a great attitude. I like. This is the view you get on the rooftop of the UEFA-building down by the lake in Nyon. t
04|05|2011 RAPHI ROCHA I've just updated book II with a few new portraits. The ones to the left show a good friend, Raphi. I've taken those a few years ago during one of our nightsessions we often held back in the day. To be honest, i totally forget about them until a few weeks ago when i was doing the first selection for my portfolio. I like them a lot. I remember: After the shooting we went home in his apartment and ate a delicious Raclette... hmmm t
03|05|2011 MELANCHOLY Melancholy. I like it quite a bit in my photos. Even tough i'd say i am a funny person and most of the time positive and happy and all that, sometimes it's good to be melancholic. So here are some of the people i shot for my latest project that i've mentioned in an earlier post. I am quite happy with the outcome. Thanks again to all the people who came by the studio and let me take their portraits! You are all awesome. On the photo you can see Leo from Zurich. As i found out, he's a snowboarder as well and pretty much into hiking. He would love to own a splitboard... t
01|05|2011 NUCLEAR POWER PLANT I've been to Leibstadt and Gösgen this weekend. Pretty amazing. I mean, i never looked at it so close before. Very scary tough. t P.s.: There's some more commercial-content right here. I did the current lookbook for Clast which shows the season 2011/2012 products.
27|04|2011 FABIAN P. I just updated book II with pictures from last weeks shooting. On the photo is Fabian P. from Option. t
26|04|2011 WEIRD THINGS IN AUSTRIA Last week all of a sudden, this "thing" popped into my eyes! But what is it?? I love it. t
23|04|2011 KILIAN ZEHNDER Last week i took a portrait of young swiss skateboarder Kilian Zehnder right outside of our studio. He was so calm. But once on his skateboard.. bang! t
20|04|2011 PICTURESPICTURESPICTURES... Finally i found time to work on last week's portraits again. This is Shem. A very photogenic barista from Zurich. Definitely one of my favourites. t
19|04|2011 FULLMOONING IN AUSTRIA I've been on the road quite a bit since sunday. Me and my Opel drove all the way to Austria to find, hunt and shoot "things".. 1 project i was following: The freshly groomed snowpark up on the glacier! I spent pretty much the whole night all alone there. Total silence. Just the crunching of my boots on the fresh snow.. that's all. Wow. Stay tuned. t
12|04|2011 FABIAN P. This week i am assisting a lot. Besides i am doing the selection for last week's Portrait-Shoot. It's giving me hard times for sure... Here's an already picked favorite of Fabian. I took this one right outside of our studio here in Zurich. There's most probably more to come soon.. t
08|04|2011 I HEART... ... photography! Yesterday on the way home from the studio i shot this "thing". I love "things" that are just laying there specially when they are wrapped like a christmas-present! Makes me wanna un-wrap it... t
07|04|2011 SIMPLICITY IS THE KEY Here's a snappy snapshot from today. t
06|04|2011 STUDIO-LIFE... The next 2 days i am shooting a lot of different people for my book in our studio. It's gonna be quite busy cause almost every hour a person is coming by. I am also super happy with the casting since every single one is a character. Just finished the lightning and can't wait for tomorrow.. yes t
31|03|2011 ERRATIC BOULDER II I am in the office around 12hours pretty much every day working on a few different projects. If i do longterm-projects or shootings with a concept, the time i spend shooting is maybe a fifth of the whole thing. Or even less. So right now i am mostly brainstorming, researching and talking to people on the phone to get things together. I love this part of my job a lot! Getting an idea, writing it down, putting it away for some time, looking at it again, changing parts of it, start researching, some more brainstorming, testing lights or whatever... there's an endless list. So there's another boulder i've found thanks to google-earth. It's a bit far away from Zurich but sure worth a visit. t
24|03|2011 BERNARD PURDIE Yesterday i got the honor to work with Bernard Purdie himself. He's a true legend. Mr. Purdie has worked with all of them: James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Isaac Hayes, Cat Stevens or Ivan 'Boogaloo Joe' Jones, to only name a few. He truly got class and a whole lot of style! Wow. t
23|03|2011 SALBIT-BIVOUAC Monday - tuesday i've spent on the Salbit-bivouac on 2400m above sealevel in the heart of switzerland. Lucky us, we got even a heli-flight up there.. ;) We spent more or less the whole night and the whole morning shooting landscapes since the moon was super close to earth. Less then 4 hours we spent in the bivouac sleeping.. or at least trying to sleep. Cause it's super tough falling a sleep on such a high altitude. The bivouac was a real 'emergency-hut' that included couple mattresses and a table. No electricity nor heating. That's about it. Plus i've eaten up there the best risotto in a loooong time.. so so good! Big ups to our That's a little impression i've taken with my G10 at around 5.30am. t
21|03|2011 FULLMOON II So as i mentioned in the last post, i went last night to see that huge erratic boulder that has been laying there since a few I found THE perfect setup: Beautiful moonlight at it's best, quietness, nothing disturbing around it and a road close to it where i brought my car in position. I used my good old Opel as a reflector since its all white and quite big. It lit up the dark side of the rock perfectly. t P.s: Just added some new images in book one, two and three.
19|03|2011 FULLMOON AGAIN Tonight is fullmoon. But since it's not clear during the night i skipped my mission till tomorrow. Thanks to google-earth, i found this erratic boulder.. wonder how it looks in the night.. I love being outside in the middle of nowhere under the fullmoon and taking pictures of something weird laying on a field.. sounds scary? It is! haha t
17|03|2011 YVES SUTER Tonight i shot Yves Suter. Whenever we get together we're having a blast! The shooting took maybe 20min, but he ended up staying like 5-6 hours in our studio... ;) And no, thats not the actual photo. But i like it anyways.. t
16||03|2011 "FRÜEHLIGSPUTZETE" Yesterday we all spent a day cleaning in the studio. All the "things no one really needed anymore" had to be gone, forever.. We got now plenty of space, all clean and well organised. I like. t P.s.: By the way i've just won a lifetime whiteout-subscription.. i should do competitions more often.
13|03|2011 SUNSHINE.. ..reminds me of this shooting i did last season. We left Zurich at 1.30 a.m. to be at the spot at 6 a.m. sharp! I wanted to use the perfect 15min where the shadow just left the coping and the rider is in the sun.. and to top it all: It was actually the last day of the season where the pipe was groomed! After the shoot we all slept for a bit on benches under the sun. Before we left we ate some tasty "Kaasspatzl" with extra cheese before heading back to Zurich where we arrived around 2 p.m. .. crazy Photo shows Markus Keller hiking up again the icy pipe for me. t
09|03|2011 SABRINA WIRZ Yesterday i have visited beautiful Lucerne. I've taken portraits of young actress Sabrina Wirz. We spent the whole morning under the sun on a wooden boat-house at lake lucerne. Her mother made delicious homemade pizza for lunch. How can this not be a dreamjob? t
07|03|2011 STUDIO-LIFE I did some lighttests yesterday. Some guy named Pian-Gaul or something like that came by and jumped into my picture. He claimed being a photographer as well.. But i doubt it. ;) t
05|03|2011 TREE IN JAPAN Since i am already in the nippon-mood again since a few days and 'everybody' seems to be there rightnow, i am looking through my folders from last summer quite a bit.. Here's another one i took on Matsuyama-Island. All our japanese friends couldn't really understand why Yves and I went to visit that place, since it's mostly known for THE ichiban (number one) spot where japanese grandparents spend their vacations. We loved it, despite being some of the youngest in the place. Or maybe that was the reason.. haha t
03|03|2011 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... Heaps of things are going on these days. But for the moment i'll leave you with just a random photo.. Matsuyama, Japan, 2010 t
28|02|2011 FINALY ON-BOARD, AGAIN.. After 6 days of assisting in a row, i wanted to go snowboarding so badly. And since my car gets a make-over rightnow, i decided to get away from the city by doing it like back in the days: by bike, bus and train! It felt soo good today, since quite some fresh powder was waiting for me at my homeresort! Ahhh.. snowboarding is still my most favorite thing to do besides taking photos. t
27|02|2011 SAN REMO II San Remo, Italy, is quite an inspiring place. Wished i could go back there again real soon.. Not only to see whats behind that gate but also to eat again my most favorite icecream of all time: Nocciola! But San Remo also offers some great locations. Infact, there is 'something' behind every corner.. t
23|02|2011 SAN REMO Rightnow i am in San Remo, Italy, for some assisting for Sarah Maurer. Today we had bluebird and quite some sun! Seems like spring is around the corner here... Palmtrees + sea + sun = good times! t
15|02|2011 A WEEK-LONG... ... no update means either i am working all the time OR i am sick! This time the 2 came together but at least with a perfect timing, if there is such a thing as a perfect timing regarding getting sick. Anyway. My friend Yves Suter sent me another picture of my cover in Snowstyle since he's travelling in Japan for couple weeks. Funny to see it right next to "Salt" and "Lure" at the newsstand. So cool!!! Thanks Yves. Next week i'll be assisting 6 days in a row. So again, not really an update but for sure a lot to learn and to tell! t
08|02|2011 WORKINGWORKINGWORKING... Been assisting the half of last week for Jonas Unger. He was shooting only on film, which was quite inspiring! Gotta dig out my beloved A2 again... The annual ISPO-tradeshow in Munich is on. Yesterday night the guys at rhythm held their party with some live-tattoo-thingy (wonder who was brave enough) and an art-exhibition. Paintings, photos... There were 3 prints of mine hanging as well.. hope to post some photos soon, since i couldn't join the show myself. Good news: The guys at snowstyle japan put my photo of Nicholas Wolken on their recent cover! For this picture we left zurich last spring at 1.30 a.m. to be at the location at 6.00 a.m.! Imagine. We shot 15min and then the magic moment was gone.. Thank you, Nicholas, for getting up that early. It was totally worth it! t
02|02|2011 ELEVEN MOOD SHOOTING Today i got the boys from eleven in my studio. We're shooting some moods for the spring-collection together with Teamrider Anthony Vuignier. Good times! t
29|01|2011 WORKING ON MY PORTFOLIO It takes quite some time and effort to do your own portfolio-book. I am glad, that we got so much space in the studio to shove the photos around on the floor before making actual prints.. Plus it helps so much, not doing this on the screen.. I am still at the very beginning of it, but slowly getting somewhere. My goal is to be Have a great weekend, t
25|01|2011 JULIER-PASS Here's another sneak-peak of last week's shoot on the Julier-pass. Can't wait to got there again by the next fullmoon. t
24|01|2011 PORTFOLIO-BOOK ARRIVED! My Portfolio-book finally arrived today. All black leather and smells soo good. Such a beauty. Lovin' it. Looks like i got a lot to do next couple weeks by cutting down the last 7+ years of my work into a tight selection of 50 images max. Thank you, Katharina for that beautiful book. Well done! t
23|01|2011 RED BULL SOUNDCLASH 2011 Yesterday i spent all afternoon, night and a lot of todays morning in Basel, shooting the Red Bull Soundclash at Kaserne! Such a good atmosphere, great bands, good people.. good times. Here are some leftovers i do like a lot. And here's some online-coverage about the event! It's in german tough. I'd like to thank a lot Andi Graber, who was assisting me the whole time, running around and keeping an eye out for drunken people NOT to drain beer on my camera. Thank you! t
21|01|2011 Yesterday i spent the day in Basel. We shot the new collection of fashion-designer Steffi Biggel. Location was a uninhabited house outside the city. We left pretty much everything the way we found it. It just worked out perfectly. In some rooms it was very, very stylisch, perfectly arranged and clean. But just in the next room it was all messed up.. Loved it. t
20|01|2011 POMMELHORSE So i finally made the selection from the shooting 2 weeks ago. You can look at the whole series in book one! Hope you like it. t
19|01|2011 JULIER Yesterday night i drove with a friend on the Julierpass. Since it was almost fullmoon plus the sky pretty much clear, i spent the night shooting outside and enjoying the total silence. Here's a preview of yesterday. After the shooting we slept right on top of the pass in my camper-car. Wasn't even that cold, but good memories and even better sleep as always. Love it! t
17|01|2011 SOME KINKI BULLRIDING UNDER THE FULLMOON IN BASEL! Wednesday is fullmoon again, so i might hide somewhere in the woods or in the mountains.. Besides: I am trying to work it out in a few competitions rightnow. A lot of things are going on these days. Wow. Plus i am working on different own projects. Some with people, some with animals, some with landscapes... more to come soon! Saturday i'll be in Basel shooting the annual Red Bull - Soundclash event at Kaserne! This time it's gonna be "7$T" against "Da sign and the opposite"! Can't wait... t P.s. the photo shows some old and new inspirations...
13|01|2011 TENT-RESTAURANT I am still working on the pommel-horse-photos. Many good ones. It's so hard to cut them down.. And before turning crazy about this i went outside to shoot this tent-thinggy which turns into a restaurant during nighttime! I think it fits quite well to a series i was starting back in Japan. Which i still have to edit.. too many pictures, not enough time.. haha t
11|01|2011 AND THE WINNER IS... Claudia T. from Zurich! As promised she will get something unique from me. It's gonna be a print of her choice! Signed and all that, of course. The photo is out of context. I shot it during our trip to Japan while waiting at Doha-Airport. Some indian-man looking through the windows.. i like his turban.. t
08|01|2011 POMMEL-HORSE OUTTAKES Here's one of the only 2 times where Marc fell off the horse.. nothing happend, of course. We had invisible ropes in the whole studio, holding him back by falling on the floor. Yep. Yesterday night i've visited the speech of Mr. Marco Grob. He's a big inspiration since quite some time and now even more. t
06|01|2011 MARK RAMSEYER Today i had Mark in my studio. He's a professional gymnast. We shot several moves on a very old pommel horse! For sure one of the coolest shootings ever. That pommel horse is such a beauty, all leather, old but still in a very good shape, wooden handles.. wow. Much respect to GraphicArt for providing me with a lot of equipment for this project! Thank you guys!!! t
05|01|2011 NIGHTSHIFT! Today was a busy day. Been on the phone a lot, organising and planning couple things and making sure, that everything is going well for the shoot on thursday! But sitting inside all day behind the desk is no good. So i went to shoot this wierd "thing".. and now listen: Who ever reads this and gets a clue what this could be, should drop me an email on hello at creagerphoto dot com and i'll pick a winner! Prize: You will get something very personal and unique from me! t
04|01| HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope everyone had a slippery slide into '11!? I am already working on a new project, which i'll shoot this week in the studio. Can't tell too much now, but thats a close-up of what's going to be in the center of attention.. Be sure to come back by the end of the week for some more about that! In the meantime, please have a look on my 2nd week for KINKI magazine, righthere! t
29|12|2010 CLAST MOOD Here's a preview of what was happening yesterday: "Nicholas Wolken, waiting behind the door to get out and ride his snowboard..." Happy how everything turned out. The guys at Clast really give me a lot of freedom and let me do my thing. I like. The workbook will be presented during ISPO-tradeshow in munich. t P.s.: KINKI magazine asked me to contribute online for some blog-thingy. It's called "Fotobuch" and it shows 4 weeks in a life of someone. They just uploaded my 1. week! If you wanna win my canon 5d mark II, send an email to: info@kinki... nahh, just kidding ;)
28|12|2010 ENGADIN! Today i woke up suuuper early like 5.30am to go to the beautiful engadin-valley. I teamed up with my friends at Clast to spend a fun day shooting and shredding. We shot the new collection again, but this time in the snow and in action. It was perfect light today and the biggest softbox available up in the sky all day long... On the way to St. Moritz i drove my car over Julier-pass, which looked amazing today with all the snow. I spent already some time there shooting in the moonlight couple months ago, but it's also quite interesting during day-time. t
27|12|2010 CREDIT-SUISSE BULLETIN This past summer i was doing an editorial-job for the swiss bank credit-suisse. They asked for portraits of 4 teenagers. 1 from each language-area of switzerland. I did the whole scouting myself which was quite an adventure, specially in the french-part. Then i visited the 2 girls and the 2 boys at their home. It was a great experience plus i am super happy about the outcome. The Bulletin is such a highquality magazine with great paper and a simple layout. Exactly what i like. If you wanna look at this or other issues, press HERE! t
26|12|2010 THE EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE WORM! What a day! Getting up super early on a day like yesterday is totally worth it. Just cruising, recharging batteries, taking a deep breath, slashing the powder.. Thank you, snowboarding! t
21|12|2010 WORKWORKWORK... I just shot the new CLAST-collection, coming into stores fall 2011. New materials, great color-fades, better cuts, ... all in all quite a refreshing collection! Here's a little sneak-peak of 2 of their highlights... Some lifestyle/action-photography is planned as well.. be sure to come back real soon for some more! t
14|12|2010 FROM MUNICH TO SALZBURG Sunday evening, Lozza picked me up in Munich to go to Salzburg for an upcoming job the very next day! We shot Thierry Henry, the soccer-player. Thierry was super gentle and gave us 20min before heading to the next interview.. Besides: I am assisting all week. Check out Christian Grund and Sarah Maurer. Good times! t
13|12|2010 MUNICH I spent the weekend in Munich. Friday i went to see Katharina. She's specialized in doing portfolios for photographers. So after we discussed the size i elected a nice leather and now i gotta wait! Hope to get it by the end of the year... In the afternoon i went to see my friends over at Pleasure to discuss couple upcoming projects and the season in general. I am still super happy to work for them as senior-photographer! Saturday i visited Yvonne and Simon over at Hannibal's. They got themself a pretty cool little store / studio where they produce super cool men-clothing! I am so happy now for my 2 new pairs of trousers.. ;) P.s.: Their summer-collection is gonna be so so good! t
09|12|2010 HIT THE ROAD, JACK! Zurich-Munich-Salzburg-Zurich.. next 5 days i'll be on the road quite a bit. Lovin' it! Probably no update during that time.. but for sure a lot to tell afterwards! t
08|12|2010 MOSCOW_RECAP 02 Found this picture on Blotto's! And this clip is funny to watch, specially the translations! This one is even more funny! Made by my buddy Yves Suter. From Russia with love.. t P.s: there's an update in book III!
07|12|2010 STUDIO-DAYS I've been assisting for Christian Weber yesterday. And today we had to paint the whole Studio. That's an Iphone-Snapshot from my buddy Yves Suter, showing that some serious painting went down.. ;) Good times for sure. t
06|12|2010 MOSCOW_RECAP 01 Wow, what a city. What an event. What a good time we had.. We're already planning of going there again. I was so stoked having 2 friends of mine visiting Moscow at the same time. Yves Suter and his friend Dominik Betschart, who stayed pretty much the whole time with us. Might be springtime.. but we're most definetly going there again.. On the photo you can see from left to right Tim McKenna, Blotto, Leo Sharp and Lozza, as we just left our Hotel to cross the Red-Place on our way to the daily exhibition-visit! And what we found there you can see on the 2nd picture.. medias from all over. I gave more interviews in those 5 days then the last 32 years... ;) RECAP 02 soon, probably... T
03|12|2010 WORK So the show yesterday went pretty well, a really nice location, a lot of people, great photos from some of the best in boardsports-photography and many many interviews! The russians seriously know how to celebrate things like that! Can't wait for tonight ;) Other than that, i just got the final-file from a job i did a few weeks ago for swiss insurance-company Sanitas. In Co-operation with ROD i did 3 different sports: Skateboarding, Figureskating and Fencing! Hope to show the other 2 real soon. t
01|12|2010 MOSCOW OR HOW TO DEAL WITH -20 DEGREES! After quite an adventure we, Lozza and me, arrived in Moscow, Russia. I've never been there before and as far as i can tell now, i can't wait to explore the city. Even if it's -20 degrees or something. Tomorrow starts the opening of the exhibition. People told us, it's gonna be a huge thing... let's see what they did. I am getting messages from all over the world "you're in Moscow? No way!" And i have to admit, that i am extremly happy about being here. I love my job and i am very thankful! More infos soon... t
24|11|2010 WINTER IS HERE! It's getting colder and colder. Yesterday night it even snowed for the first time here in zurich. Just a little, tough. Winterseason is around the corner! For those who do not like this fact, i found a photo from Marocco from last may. It was super warm and sunny... Anyway. Next 4 days i am on the road for some assistance-work, then 1 day home and then 5 days Moscow for the exhibition. t
22|11|2010 JP SOLBERG SAYS YES! JP is hikin', shreddin', laughin', jokein', hikin', grabbin', flippin', eatin', laughin', some more shreddin', talkin' and even more hikin' and shreddin' and some laughin' before callin' it a day! That guy is a legend! Was an honor to meet this kid. Yes. t
21|11|2010 ARGENTINA 2008 This is a photo i took in Cerro Bayo, Argentina, while doing a 4-week-long documentary about snowboarding in Argentina. The story got published in 3 different Magazines like Pleasure, Whitelines and Snowboard-mag Italy! I'd love to go back there one day. Such an amazing country with even more amazing people! t
17|11|2010 NEW KINKIMAG OUT NOW! Finally, the new KINKI is out there! I did a little documentary about the swiss straightedge-scene. Right after Japan i shot the two bands Unveil and Seeds of pain plus the filmmaker Jan Mühlethaler! You can flip through the whole issue HERE! I am pretty happy about this publication, since i like the magazine quite a lot. But moreover i am thankful for the inspiration those guys gave me. In many ways. t
15|11|2010 SCOUTING + TRAINRIDE + CHAI LATTE = GOODTIMES Another day of scouting for an upcoming shooting for Chris Tribelhorn. I love those kinda days. You get to see so much new stuff, new inspiration. Lovin' it. t
14|11|2010 OBERGURGL, AUSTRIA I've just came home from an assignment-job. We've been in Obergurgl, Austria, for my first on-snow-shooting this season. Everything went well, weather was great, snow slushy, jacuzzi hot and the "Käsespätzle" delicious! But i can't show the actual photo yet. Tomorrow i am doing some more location-scouting for an upcoming shooting this week for swiss photographer Chris Tribelhorn in and around zurich and then i am off for 2 days in Munich for visiting pleasuremag and hannibal and getting my portfolio-book done. Looking forward to all of this since a few months now! yeah t
12|11|2010 BEEN THERE, DONE THAT Life is quite busy these days. A lot of work and almost no sleep. I originally planned to visit Budapest for the weekend. But since there is so much going on, i decided to do that another time. I am about to pack my gear for the first snow-shoot of the season. I am going to Obergurgl, Austria. Never been there... More infos after this weekend, i guess. It's me on the photo, under my selfmade screenhood ;) t
08|11|2010 MATTEA B. Just been cruising through the city with Mattea B. from Fotogen. Another day of exploring the city by bike, scouting new locations, using only daylight and the mandatory visit @ Starbucks! This time Julia joined our bike-gang... Thanks to the two of them! t
07|11|2010 HELEN JEGER Yep, i like to work with her a lot ;) So yesterday we spent couple hours with our bikes in and around Zurich. Just the 2 of us, cruising through the city all day, taking a photo here and there, scouting new locations, drinking chai @ starbucks, some more photos, eating a delicious sandwich and even more photos! What a day. More of this soon.. t
05|11|2010 UNSOLD Here's another image that none of the magazines ever printed! It shows austrian snowboarder Marc Swoboda, ollieing against a strong wind.. somewhere in Argentina in the summer of 2007! I love how the wind is blowing up the hood of Marc's jacket. I exactly felt the same in this moment. I think i forgot even my thin-gloves that day.. was freezing cold! Plus the cloud behind Marc puts him in a beautiful light. Snow + a timeless Trick named Ollie + perfect daylight + black&white = one of my alltime-favourites! t
04|11|2010 PORTFOLIO-UPDATE There's an update in book III. Well, i changed pretty much the whole thing. Mostly recent work, mixed with couple older portraits. But there might be some more real soon. Gotta wait a little bit to show the complete book. Hope you like the update. t
03|11|2010 JAPAN I am working on my portfolio-book and therefore looking through a lot of folders. So i stumbled over this photo, which i took seconds before landing at Osaka-Kansai. I am actually planning to go back to Japan this season. For some snowboarding, this time! Still a lot of things to take care of, to organise, but so far it looks good. Hope it works out... t
02|11|2010 WORKING DAY AND NIGHT Yesterday i've been working again on a personal project. I love the quietness of the night. In some way i feel a bit like a burglar. Sneaking through the streets, to tiptoe around houses, trying not to cough, mobilephone on quiet-mode but if someone is seeing me, smiling at the people and eventually starting to talk to them, letting them feel that i am not stealing anything, at most a certain moment that i'd capture with my camera. So near my studio i found this busstop where they placed such a real looking commercial.. ah wait: That's for real! It's probably gone by tomorrow... Also: book III needs to be refreshed... update soon! t
30|10|2010 SOME MORE GRIMSEL I couldn't wait no longer.. i had to show some more photos of the Grimsel-Area! Love the power that the photos radiate. Power and silence. Nature is king! t
29|10|2010 GRIMSEL 2008 Today i went through my archive from 2008 - 2009. And there i found some interesting landscapes from the Grimsel-pass i took 3 seasons ago. I remember we spent a week on this Hospice. You can't really get there in winter. The road is closed and there are no public-lifts. Thanks to Davide and his boys we got the chance to use those trams and to hang out on this hut for some time. In one way it's true: Since digi took over in photography, the whole thing with developing in the labs, waiting, looking at the negs on the lighttable.. the whole process.. everything has changed! But for me this is pretty similar. I took that photo 3 years ago, never really looked at it that close. And now couple years later, it pops in my eye and i am so enjoying it now. Like a good, old wine.. gets better and better... t
28|10|2010 NEW PORTRAITS This is a little teaser for portraits i did for KINKI magazine. Coming out real soon, i guess. It's about young musicians that live a certain lifestyle. Can't really tell more yet. Hope you like it. As mentioned in an older post, i am going to Moscow for an exhibition in early december. From the 1. till the 5th i am going to be there. Looks like it's gonna be a huge thing. Somehow i can't post that link in here, don't know why. But for those who are curious and / or speak russian: type in "creager pirumova" in google and it's right the first link on top! go on goggle-translate to get the idea. I never do this normally.. but hey, it's russian ;) There are 7 invited international plus 4 russian photographers. I read something about prints the size up to 3m... well, let's see how it goes! Would be amazing to see that... t
26|10|2010 HELEN Here's a little preview of yesterday. More to come soon.. same channel t
25|10|2010 IN THE STUDIO Helen Jeger from Option just left the studio. Julia and i did some portfolio-work with her today for our books. Helen is my favourite newface. Such a beautiful face, good person and great attitude! She's going to Milano next week for her first time.. good luck!!! t
22|10|2010 PORTFOLIO-UPDATE In book four you can look at new images i took during our flight from Doha to Osaka last August. They show clouds over Islamabad! Thanks to Qatar-Airways for letting me stay on the left wing for getting extra close to the subject... And also thank you, Vans, for delivering me with a proper pair of shoes! It would not have been possible without. ;) t
17|10|2010 LITTLE TOUR-DE-SUISSE OR LACK OF UPDATING THE NEWS Zurich - Locarno - St. Moritz - Guarda - Ftan - Zurich Been assisting and working on assigned and freejobs for the last couple days. I love my work, everyday something new! On the way back to Zurich i passed over Albula and i got a pretty good timing there with fog and snow.. Speaking of "pretty good": In an earlier entry i wrote about the invite for an exhibition in Moscow this december! I just found out that i will be there among the following guys: Uhm... Ok. I'd consider myself now as preeeetty stoked! t
12|10|2010 FENCING IS.. .. such an aesthetic-sport! Mixture between ballet, dancing and all with a weapon and a mask! I am recently doing a corporate-job for a swiss-insurance-company. One of the sports i have to shoot was fencing. Was a great experience. Thanks to the FC Otelfingen for letting us stay in their pretty cool fencinghall! t
06|10|2010 OFFICE-LIFE I can't tell how happy i am since i moved into this studio/office. It feels so good not working at home anymore. Closing the door in the evening and going HOME! Such an inspiring environment. I am sharing the studio with Sandra Kennel, Andi Speck and Marion Zünd, which is a fashion-stylist. t
02|10|2010 PORTFOLIO-UPDATE Japan was sucha blast! I had "not to look at the photos" for a while. Too much impression and inspiration! So after almost 2 weeks i went through them all over again. And the funny thing is, i am totally sticking with my first selection. But i realised that i should split them into series. I just uploaded the first one in book four, called "parkinglots". There might be some more real soon. Stay tuned. t
30|09|2010 AFTER THE RAIN COMES SUN! So so true. Today i broke the chain on my bicycle halfway on my way to work. So i took the bus. Since they were only 3 stops i didn't buy a ticket for it. Of course they controlled the whole bus and gave me a fine! Murphy's law, hello! But: After the rain comes sun! So this day ended up with an invite for an exhibition in Moscow, Russia, this december. Hope it all works out. I'd be super happy to finally get there! Plus i got my name written on my airplane-meals. Who else does? Yes! t
28|09|2010 PORTFOLIO-UPDATE Rightnow i am editing the whole Nippon-thing. Might take a little while.. Hope you like the update. t
24|09|2010 WORK FOR KINKI-MAGAZINE For a future-article in KINKI, i am working on a documentary about bands. The 1st out of 3 shoots was yesterday evening. So imagine the following scene: 6 guys in a dirty rehearsal room somewhere in a basement playing fairly loud music. In the middle me, walking around and shooting the boys. All of a sudden this guy named Anthony steps in the room and just peers at us for some time. Then he tells me: "You should better take photos of me, i am a drummer as well!" Usually i don't like when people tell me to take photos of them. But with Anthony i knew right away that i just have to. Go 49er's! t
23|09|2010 MULLFOON I Yesterday i drove up to Julier-Pass which is between Chur and St. Moritz. I took advantage of the Fullmoon. Not that he affects me at all, but i thought it could be a good idea spending the night outside in this beautiful area, plus not to carry heavy light with me since it was already there and even for free plus sleeping in my hippie-car is always great! The image to the left: I wasn't expecting a car coming at 3a.m. I even didn't realise it until it was already halfway through the curve. But somehow i like the picture a lot. The rest of the series looks a bit different, no artificial lights in there. I think i am going there again by the next fullmoon... t
20|09|2010 GOODBYE JAPAN! We're in Doha. No more Yakisoba, no more Ebisu and no more Onsen! Japan was great. Ichiban all the way! Probably the most inspiring country i've visited so far. I'll be back.. t
16|09|2010 HIROSHIMA - MATSUYAMA .. by ferry-boat t
15|09|2010 MATSUYAMA I Today we took the ferry-boat from Hiroshima to Matsuyama, which is located on Shikoku-Island. And i must say, it was the best idea to do this. No tourists at all, super laid-back and interesting things behind every corner. And to top it all: Home of one of Japan's most famous Onsen's, hai! Originally we planned to stay only one night but after what we saw this afternoon we have to stay longer. Photo on the left is from today, right in front of our hostel. O-yasuminasai! t
14|09|2010 News-from-Nippon the... i don't know Been a lot of updates recently. We're in Hiroshima rightnow. Only me and Yves Suter. We've rented some bikes and drove through the whole city. Mainly in the more quiet areas. So so good. Good food, nice people, everything so peaceful.. Tomorrow we're going to take the fairy to some place i just forgot with a famous Onsen.. hai! But now it's Okonomiyaki-time! That's my favourite japanese-food of all time... t
12|09|2010 News-from-Nippon X So we're back in Goma, at Alex' father's place. The last exhibition is going on and in exchange for everything we are cooking for the community some "Älpler-Röschti"! One more week to go. Tomorrow we're heading towards Hiroshima, where we'll stay couple days and nights, then going to the seaside and then Osaka for the weekend before flying home on late sunday evening. Looking forward to everything. Back in Switzerland, smart as we are, we bought the JR-Railpass which allows us to travel on most of japanese railways. Good thing: It already paid off, so we're travelling now for free. I like! Here's a photo from last night. Goma is a very sleepy country-town. There is nothing going on after 8p.m. t
11|09|2010 News-from-Nippon IX We've been in Nara yesterday, which is outside Kyoto. Beautiful old temple and those very tame deers. I am not very interested in sightseeing-tours with hundreds of tourists. So to be honest, i just went there to see the deers. But it was worth it, even if they didn't really pay attention to me ;) t
09|08|2010 N-f-N VIII We're still in Kyoto till tomorrow. Been out working almost every night. So good here. I am so inspired by country and people. The whole country is so clean, so graphically and perfectly arranged. Every little thing has it's place, nothing really lays around. Specially in the night you get to see this even more. Lovin' it. t P.s.: Just found out that Gigi Rüf is having his 9191-premier in Osaka when we're in town... yes
07|09|2010 News-from-Nippon VII or Kyoto the 1st or half-time Japan We're in Kyoto now. Tomorrow is the Opening of our Show @ Kinrinkan-Gallery. Looking forward to this. And tonight we'll take again the train to Tokyo to see Ari Marcopolous' exhibition. In between i am doing a lot of scouting and shooting. Mostly landscapes during the night. Such an inspiring country. We're already in the 2nd half of our stay in japan. Still 2 more weeks to go. Yes! t
03|08|2010 News-from-Nippon VI Seems like we're hanging in the internet all day, but here are so many things happening, i have to post them. Today i explored Shinjuku again. And there i met this very friendly, old man. We couldn't understand each other at all. But everything goes easier with a smile. So he took a little break that i could do some portraits of him. He made my day! t
03|08|2010 No. 12-Gallery, Tokyo Taro Hirano is the owner of the No. 12-Gallery here in Tokyo. He gave us the chance to do a show there. By the way: Ari Marcopolous held also once an exhibit at his gallery ;) Thank you Taro! t
02|08|2010 Couple days ago Red Bull unveiled their finalists for this years Illume-Award. Lucky me, i got into the final with both of my pictures. I am so happy about this. The cut was huge from more then 20'000 images down to the top 50! Unfortunatly i couldn't join the show in Dublin with the other swiss-guys like Howzee or Silvano. But i bet they had good times up there.. Yesterday's exhibition @ No. 12-Gallery went pretty well. Update soon. Speaking of exhibitions: next week tuesday the 7th we're going to go to Ari Marcopolous' show here in Tokyo in the Vacant-Gallery! Can't wait to see that. Yes. And we just relocated into a fancy hostel in Shinjuku called "NUTS".. priceless t
31|08|2010 eleven-advertisement Since the first magazines are in-print with the new eleven-campaign, i can show now what i did for next winter! Please have a look under "commercials" for the rest of it. It's probably the first b/w-ad-campaign from a snowboard-outerwear-brand. Since last year was so colorful and flashy we decided to do something new, something different and all with daylight. But to be honest, it was a mission, seriously: 6 months from the first idea to the last picture! Weather was not on our side. But everyone was so into it. The riders Ursina Haller, Steve Gruber and Brandon Reis plus all the helpers we had and all the friendly people at eleven: Thank you all so much! I am really, really glad and happy how it turned out! Hope you like it as well.. t
30|08|2010 News-from-Nippon IV Tokyo is such an inspiring place. Lovin' it! t
29|08|2010 News-from-Nippon III So we arrived in Tokyo. What a place! wow. The Exhibition @No.12 is on Wednesday. So still couple days to explore the city and the people here. On the photo left is Aki, one of the dogs of Alex' father. t
28|08|2010 News-from-Nippon II Yesterday we drove up to the mountains to a place close to Nagano. For those who didn't know: Switzerland's very own Gian Simmen wrote history back in 1998 taking home gold in snowboarding's first ever olympic's! Also, it looked like the Versasca-Valley in Ticino / Switzerland. So similar. Tomorrow we've planned to shoot some scenery there. Anyway. We ended up in a great local-spot, ordering lots of fish and beer before taking our (almost) daily onsen-bath. The image shows the scenery there. Campai! t
25|08|2010 Zurich - Doha - Osaka - Goma or News-from-Nippon the 1st We've arrived savely in Goma, Japan. Alex' father, Detlef Schauwecker, picked us up at the airport in Osaka. Goma counts around 300 habitants and is located 2h outside Osaka on the countryside. Japan is amazing! Such a beautiful country with super friendly people. The only tough thing to deal with are the hot and humid temperatures during the day: 34degrees! But we found already the solution for it: Onsen-Spa's! Good times. On the photo to the left are some wonderful clouds high above Islamabad. Thanks to Qatar-Airways for making this happen! Domo-arigato! t
15|08|2010 Helen again I am so happy i could work with Helen last Friday. She's so natural, calm and down to earth! When she left, i said: "It's ok if you leave now. I'll clean the studio myself!" She was like: "Ah, ok. Uhm.. i can help you with that of course!" Everybody was smiling at her .. ;) Here's a little teaser of Helen. More to come soon. Little note on the side: when i am back from Japan i will have a great place around good people where i'll call it my "office and studio". Looking forward to this. t
14|08|2010 Helen in the studio Yesterday i shot an outfit for fashion-design-student Nadine Burkhardt. Model was Helen from Option. It was actually her 2nd shooting at all. No one realised this, she was so into it and 100% on it! I am sure it wasn't the last time, that i worked with her... t
08|08|2010 The Blox I Today i was busy getting some work done for my book. It was actually the 4th time that we tried to shoot on this location outside Zurich. But every single time we had to cancel our plans in the very last few minutes. Either the girl got sick, the weather turned very bad, ... you name it Which was, of course, very exhausting for all of us. All the phonecalls again for all the permissions, telling everybody that it's cancelled, organising the equipment and so on. But now it's done. Here's a little teaser. Stay tuned! t
04|08|2010 Portfolio-update in book III Last january during a super cold morning i asked strangers if they'd give me 1 minute of their time. Most of the persons said yes, even though it was even colder not walking and standing still! Also new, are the portraits of Jarno Trulli, the F-1-Driver. There soon will be, hopefully, book IV with a whole new segment of photos. Looking forward to this. t
03|08|2010 The Dirksen's I just went through the photos of Fabienne's and Josh's wedding. Such a nice couple! And to be honest, Josh isn't as good in blowing the alphorn as he is on his shredstick. Even if both are mainly made out of wood... haha t
03|08|2010 Morbid and mystic This is my favourite photo rightnow. Shot it on an early morning during our wilderness-camp 2 weeks ago at that beautiful lake in Ticino. I am very inspired by now. Looking so forward to Japan! t
02|08|2010 The Dirksens Yesterday, Fabienne Reuteler became Josh Dirksen's wife! They celebrated their wedding at a beautiful place high above lake zurich with their families and close friends. Fabienne and Josh, they truly love each other. I bet everyone, not only Fabienne, felt chicken-skin when Josh had his speech about his "1st and only love"! wow. It was also my first wedding with camera since 6 years. It was such a great experience for me. They let me do totally my own thing, since they didn't wanted to have the "regular" weddingpictures. Photo to the left is Fabienne's Grandfather. To the right is Josh's Father getting the groupshot done. t
31|07|2010 After 2007's big success, this is the 2nd edition of worlds biggest actionsport-photography-award. From almost 23'000 photos they made a huge cut down to 250 which is followed by a cut down to the 50 final-images! The ones to the left are still in the game. Unveiling of the finalists is today in one month in Dublin, Ireland. T
24|07|2010 The boys are back in town! We're back from camping in the wilderness. Again, a great experience! 5 days far far away from any civilisation. Only bees, cows, goats, a beautiful lake, a good book, a good friend and a tent. This is the lake we were camping. I took those photos on the 2nd day in the morning. Very inspiring. t
23|07|2010 Japan I August the 23rd, we're leaving for a month to Japan. On the schedule are 3 exhibitions in Tokyo, Goma and Kyoto plus lots of fun with the Whaleforce-Collective! Cause we are all a "Child of mother nature"... Looking forward to this. t
17|07|2010 Done. That was a super fun night at the "Baur au Lac" we had yesterday. There were more then 50 young people from all over the world, celebrating and laughing. Good times. I am pretty happy about the outcome from the 2 weeks. We gonna cut down the photos into a tight selection which is gonna go in print so everyone gets an own coffee-table-book as a memory! Here are some snapshots from the Gala-dinner. I am off now for camping. Seriously. t
16|07|2010 Last day of work Today is my last day of that 2-week-documentary i've been working on recently. Been pretty funny but also hard work. Like most of the time. So here are some impressions from the last 2 weeks. Of course these are not the final images, but unfortunatly i am not allowed to show any faces of the people. Still pretty interesting photos that show perfectly the mood. Next week i am going into vacation and it's all about this: - 2 friends - 1 tent - a lot of food, books... - 1 week in the wilderness of Ticino And last but not least: A pair of trunks, since we camp right next to a small mountain-lake! Enjoy summer, t
09|07|2010 Summertime! It's summer, finaly. I am pretty busy, doing a 2-week-documentary for a swiss-bank. Yesterday we've been at the lake, but unfortunately no time for a swim. At least for me. I hope i can show you some more soon. t
04|07|2010 2 years ago.. .. i spent the summer in beautiful Argentina! I am still in love with that country. This was in Cerro Bayo, a small resort on the opposite side of Bariloche. Good memories. t
30|06|2010 Busy times Just been on my second last snow-shoot for this season. Originaly i planned to finish my season middle of May with the eleven-campaign-Shoot. The idea is all about daylight and since it was hardly never good, it all took so long. So last weekend it was number 3 out of 4. Rider was Steve Gruber and i visited him on his home-mountain in Hintertux for 2 days. Totally happy about the outcome! Can't wait to post it here... So number 4 is coming up real soon too, if the weather is on our side. On the photo you see Steve on the right and some weirdo-photographer with some burka-thing on his head on the left....;) t
29|06|2010 Good old days! While moving in a new flat, i just found that beauty again: Mitch Buvoli, alley-ooping the famous "Dirty Harry"-Hip @ Engelberg in 2002! It's still one of my dearest photos i've taken since then. I guess it would still get published these days since it's so timeless. t
21|06|2010 Friday-Magazine Due to Lozza's busy schedule, i got the opportunity to shoot my first own job for Friday-Magazine. It was Model Nadine Strittmatter and it had to be photographed in a paparazzi-way. By the way: Lozza got a brand new website! t
16|06|2010 Ice-Glacier... Found some old landscapes i took couple years ago. It shows the Titlis-Glacier in Engelberg. I am just thinking now to go back there again and take some more. Wondering also, how it looks these days... t
15|06|2010 New in book II are 2 photos from Manuela from Visage Model. t
14|06|2010 Happy Yvo in Basel This is Yvo Schneiter. Very inspiring person, great skater and overall nice guy. One of the very few skatephotos i've taken in the last couple years. But it never got published. Still like it a lot. T
08|06|2010 Back in the day.. .. i was waiting hours and hours on airports. Glad, i mostly had my beloved Hasselblad with me. Like this one, shot in Washington. Somewhen in 2006. t
07|06|2010 Manuela This is Manuela from Visage. Spent yesterday's afternoon with her. Styling / H&M: Kathrin Tollas More to come soon. t
06|06|2010 Busy days Today i was again on my bike, scouting the city. Found some interesting locations in beautiful daylight. After that i went for a swim, worked on my tan, ate breakfast and then did another portfolio-test in the afternoon. Life's great. I've been working and assisting almost every day the last 2 weeks. Which leads to a lot of inspiration, like yesterday. If you don't know him yet, please have a look at Juventino's. P.s.: Photography is the best thing that ever happend to me. T
24|05|2010 Last days in the snow... Since almost 3 weeks i was checking the weather-forecast on a daily basis. But nothing else then rain.. very depressing. I am not finished with my season yet, there are 2 more project waiting. Today was the last possibility to do one of them for this season, since the pipe in Kaunertal is closing tomorrow. Couple phonecalls and Markus Keller, Nicholas Wolken and i were on it: Wake-up-call @ 1.30 a.m.! I wanted to get the beautiful and strong morning-light... I am super happy how it turned out. Hope to show you the real piece soon... Thank you Nicolas, thank you Markus for getting up that early or in Markus' case, not even go to sleep at all.. haha t
17|05|2010 last weekend... .. i shot for "SI-style", a swiss magazine about fashion and celebrities, at the energy-fashion-night here in zurich. I spent half of the evening in the vip-room, shooting switzerland's celebs and some other people, sipping champagne, chatting, laughing and so on. Highlight of the evening was swiss model, Ronja Furrer! Such a beauty.. wow and i mean her name.. who wasn't in love with "Ronja die Räubertochter", back then? t
10|05|2010 I want summer! The weather is so bad since 10+ days, so scouting new locations is a good thing to do. This is actually on the schoolyard where i spent a lot of time as teenager. Never thought of going back there just for pleasure... haha Sun, where are you? t
07|05|2010 Portrait-shoot Did a portrait-job for a dental technician today. Was so much fun, working with so many people in one day. t
02|05|2010 Portfolio-update II Also new in book II are the photos from last weekend. Clothes: Julia Brumm Model: Corinna from Scout Hair&Makeup: Pia Kühner Assistents: Andi Graber / Basti Brumm Location: Allmend, Zurich Thanks everybody for making this happen! t
01|05|2010 Portfolio-update Hair&Makeup came from Mitzi, Clothes from Charlotte Ernst. Thanks again to all of you, didn't feel like work at all ;) t
30|04|2010 eleven campaign-shoot II with Brandon Reis Oh my good! I am so happy how everything turned out. It was totally worth it getting up at 5 a.m. 2 mornings in a row for being the very first ones on the glacier except 2 skiers and 1 skidoo that were testing skis instead of giving us their ride.. We ate breakfast on almost 3000m altitude. At 10a.m. we got what we were looking for so we chilled for a bit, packed the camera away and rode for ourself the slushy-spring-park and slopes! Anyway, i wished i could show already the real piece we made. But you know the rules... Now i am looking forward for photo III and IV, coming up real soon. t
29|04|2010 Scouting-days If you're not looking for something special you always get surprised! Mother nature made a good job on this incredible place i've found after just cruising around. Actually i've been there couple times but it was never as good as it is rightnow. Have a look on the very first cover under "commercials". The white background is that place shown here. I know, hard to believe. wow t
27|04|2010 Lookbook-preview from Charlotte Ernst This is from our shoot last week with Vanessa from Visage. Pretty happy about the outcome. The full story will be online soon. Now i am packing for my last days in the snow: eleven-ad-shoot II at kaunertal. Weather looks good, rider's there, appartement is nice, fridge is full.. i am coming! t
25|04|2010 Been busy So today we shot another portfolio-test. We produced the lookbook of Julia Brumm, fashion-student @ ESMOD Munich. Great people, good mood, nice clothes, beautiful girl, perfect weather... Thanks to Julia Brumm, Corinna Rutschi from Scout, Pia Küehner for H&M, and Basti and Andi for assisting on the set. More to come. t
21|04|2010 Car, Camera, Sun... Since my bike is in kinda bad shape, i took my car today to do some more scouting around the city for an upcoming shooting this weekend. Pretty happy with what i found. Stay tuned. t
19|04|2010 Bike, Camera, Sun... Been scouting all afternoon today for 2 upcoming jobs/tests. Still haven't seen what i was looking for, but stoked on some other stuff i've found. Realised that i need to buy a new bike soon. And new shades, as well. Summertime! t
18|04|2010 Studio-nights Yesterday was pretty heavy. 2 Shootings in one day in 2 totally different places. Plus each one of them was totally different then the other and took me a lot of brainstorming the last weeks. Was a good experience too, having so much ideas/plans/things in your head at the same time and not mixing everything up. So after laax i headed straight in the studio in Zurich and spent all night shooting fashion. We shot the collection of Charlotte Ernst, an up-coming Fashion-Designer from Germany. On the set was also Mitzi for hair&makeup and wonderful Vanessa V. from Visage-modelagency. Here's a little teaser. The whole series will be online soon. t
18|04|2010 eleven-ad-shoot part I Yesterday i was shooting Ursina Haller for her upcoming eleven-advertisement. The boys and girls at eleven always let me do my thing which is the best thing ever! I love concept-work. You can come up with an idea, plan it, make some tests, think more, throw your plans in the garbage cause you just realised that it won't work, think more, even more, plus another test and there you are, hopefully. The clouds in Laax were not really co-operating with us but we got what we were looking for. Thanks to Ursina! For all the male-shredders outthere: have a look on her ad in fall and then go out and work on your style! After working for almost a year on something, spending hours thinking, painting, sketching or testing in the snow, it feels unbelievable good when everything turns out as you wanted it! t
15|04|2010 Yves Suter took... .. those photos of me when we were walking home pretty wasted from a party! I like them a lot. Usually i hate being photographed, but Yves always gets the good ones. Visit his online portfolio here Thanks Yves!
11|04|2010 Morocco IV Yesterday night: Imagine a big place with lots of different scents, noisy and loud, thousands of people, 2/3rd tourists and we're in the middle having a photoshoot at night! It was sucha special experience since the people were not used to this kind of thing and formed a big circle around us. Everybody stayed calm and nice. Today was another day off and tomorrow as well before leaving back home on tuesday. We spent the day sightseeing like Jardin Majorelle, Djemaa el Fna-Market e.c. Light is still great! So much inspiration here as you can see. t
10|04|2010 Morocco III Been scouting a bunch these days. There is sucha beautiful light everywhere. And the people here are very, very special. Funny like hell but also sometimes pretty much of a challenge. Tomorrow we're going to shoot on the Medina-Market. Wonder how that turns out, with all the bums, local-kids e.c. t
09|04|2010 Morocco II Yesterday i had a day off! We hang at the pool and enjoyed life. I like palm-trees. And i like the sky. So here's what i was looking at all day. Gotta go now, the pool's calling! Life can be so hard sometimes... t
07|03|2010 Morocco I am in Marrakesh / Morocco for a week, assisting for couple of upcoming Editorials. Marrakesh is crazy, loud, stinky and super busy. Glad we're mostly out in the nowhere, like today.
02|04|2010 Red Bull Soundclash 2009 This is a very lucky shot i took during the Red Bull Soundclash @ Frison, Fribourg! I was shooting the action and all of a sudden, the girl in front of me held her camera up and took a snap. I couldnt resist when i saw the 2 main-characters of that night, Nega and Elia singing together. In fact, her photo looks from far away a bit like a stars-wars-figure...
31|03|2010 Back in the days... This is little Mu Maurer, gapping the A-Frame in Laax. I miss the analog-times sometimes. Was around 2003/2004, right Mu?
30|03|2010 Hoch-Ybrig... ..is my favourite place to shred! We built this thing for the very first time this year. The light was amazing, thanks to Ms. Sun! For me it's all about daylight these days.
27|03|2010 Travis Limoge Another photo that never made it into print. Travis fs lip on that kinda famous rail in the montreal-woods.
15|03|2010 Brave and Missy Shot this a while ago for a personal project, which i haven't finished yet. Working with animals, specially dogs, is just great. Love it.
10|03|2010 Scouting-days Been scouting a bunch these days for upcoming projects. Stay tuned!
09|03|2010 unsold Since every photographer shoots a lot of photos but only a very few will be ever published, i would like to show you some favourites that never made it in print. This time it's Diego Koch, spinning frontside on a very famous place in Meiringen-Hasliberg. Shot this 2 seasons ago. Still like it a lot with the all-tracked-out run-in in the back and the 60cm fresh in the landing.
05|03|2010 Raphi Rocha @ Laucheren! Here's my good friend Raphi Rocha. Shot this couple seasons ago during a nightshoot where we tested some stuff out for an upcoming project that we never did! Didnt work out at all how i planned it! But still happy about those photos
04|03|2010 Fredi K. 2 years ago i went shooting with Fredi K. for the first time. Nobody knows his hometurf as good as him. A friend of mine who is an editor over at Pleasure Magazine complained about how hard it is to write all the captions issue after issue. So i made him a favour, i hope
03|03|2010 Summertime! Found this pool some time ago. It was last winter, to be exact. Wonder if it still exists, would love to get back there again and shoot some bikini's....
24|02|2010 Last week i shot this handbag for Katja Alissa Müller. The bag is made out of 5 or 6 old shirts. Model: Jasmin Leeb Photos are in book II.
23|02|2010 Winning "Bestes Bergbild 2009" Last Spring i got this link for a photoaward were tirol-tourisme was looking for mountain-photography. I wasn't very hopeful about all this but gave it a try! Long story short: I ended up winning that award with Reto Kestenholz' fs3 in Meiringen which is on 2nd position in the very first book! During the ceremony @ Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, Seefeld, 2 weeks ago, i got this paycheck from Josef Margreiter, on the picture to the right, about Euros 5000.-. Woohaa! The lady in the middle is Melanie Mühl. She's a very talented writer and won 5ks as well, for the best mountain-tale. I re-invested straight into Canon, Eizo, Epson and Wacom ;D
21|02|2010 Cover! This is the coolest thing to me! My very favourite snowboarding-picture from last season made it onto cover of my very favourite snowboard-magazine, the pleasure photo special. All the hard-working snow-photogs get honored by showing their best ima
